Mr Ivo Gwanmesia

Mr Ivo Gwanmesia is a Consultant Craniofacial and Plastic Surgeon on the GMC Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery (GMC No. 4189239). A graduate of Manchester University Medical School, Mr Gwanmesia trained in all aspects of plastic surgery within the London Deanery, working in most of London's teaching hospitals. He completed specialist training in plastic surgery in November 2010 and spent all of 2011 as a fellow within the Craniofacial Unit at Great Ormond Street Hospital. In August 2013, he left the UK for the United States to undertake a 12-month fellowship in craniomaxillofacial surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, Ohio. During his time at the Cleveland Clinic, Mr Gwanmesia attained subspecialisation in adult and paediatric craniofacial surgery, undertook pioneering research and was published in scientific literature. He is the author of several papers and co-author of chapters in the textbook Plastic Surgery - A Problem-Based Approach, as well as the author of chapters in a new atlas for craniofacial surgery. He is a member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS), the UK Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (UKAAPS) and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, among other bodies. Mr Gwanmesia offers facial aesthetic surgery including facelift, brow lift, upper and lower blepharoplasty, neck lift, otoplasty, rhinoplasty, genioplasty, orbital rim implants and mandibular and malar implants; breast aesthetic surgery including augmentation, reduction and mastopexy; and body contouring including liposuction, body lift, abdominoplasty, brachioplasty and thigh lift.
