Mr Humayun Ayub Khan

Mr Humayun Ayub Khan has been a Consultant Plastic Surgeon for nine years, with cumulative surgical experience spanning more than 30 years. He trained in Plastic Surgery and General Surgery in the UK and abroad, previously serving as a consultant in General Surgery for five years and supervising trainees in both specialties over many years. He specialises in general plastic surgery including breast augmentation, reduction and lifts, abdominoplasty, liposuction, prominent ear correction, blepharoplasty and related procedures. His experience extends to nearly all aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery, including burns, hand trauma and micro-vascular surgery. His NHS practice at Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester comprises all general plastic surgery including skin cancer and scar revision. He has a special interest in burns and plastic reconstructive surgery and is an active member of the regional skin cancer multidisciplinary team. In private practice he has gained considerable experience in breast surgery - including reductions, augmentation, mastopexy and gynaecomastia - with over 300 breast procedures performed. He holds a Master's degree in aesthetic surgery from Queen Mary University, London (merit award), with dissertations on breast augmentation and reduction surgery. Other frequently undertaken operations include abdominoplasty, liposuction, upper and lower blepharoplasty, prominent ear correction, split earlobes, Botox injections, circumcisions and scar revisions. Mr Khan is an approved education and clinical supervisor for plastic surgery trainees and is involved in international training of burns surgeons and facilities in developing nations. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons and on the specialist register for plastic surgery with the General Medical Council and the Irish Medical Council.
