Mr Ullas Raghavan

Mr Ullas Raghavan qualified in medicine in 1986 and joined the GMC Specialist Register in Otolaryngology in 2006. His credentials include MS, DLO, FRCS (Glasg), FRCSEd and FRCS (ORLHNS). He received his medical degree from the University of Kerala, India, and his postgraduate MS (ENT) from Jiwaji University, India. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Glasgow in 1999. Mr Raghavan completed higher surgical training at Queen's Medical Centre Nottingham, Derby Royal Infirmary and Leicester Royal Infirmary. In 2005 he received full accreditation from the Specialist Advisory Committee in Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and was awarded his Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training by the Specialist Training Authority of the Medical Royal Colleges. He was awarded a Fellowship by the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery in 2005 and received advanced specialist training as a clinical fellow in facial plastic and cosmetic surgery at renowned centres in France, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands and the US. As part of the fellowship he passed the examination conducted by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2005 as a European candidate. Alongside facial plastic surgery, Mr Raghavan has a special interest in rhinology and advanced training in endoscopic sinus surgery. In 2006 he was awarded a travelling Fellowship by the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow and received advanced training in endoscopic sinus surgery at Jikei University, Japan. He has given numerous presentations at national and international meetings on rhinology and facial plastic surgery, and has published papers and book chapters on the nose and allied areas. In 2005, Mr Raghavan was appointed Consultant in Ear, Nose & Throat surgery with special interest in Rhinology and Facial Plastic Surgery at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospital NHS Trust. For Right Choice patients he consults and operates privately in Manchester. Professional memberships include the European Rhinological Society, British Rhinological Society, European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery, ENT UK, Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow, Medical Defence Union and Facial Plastic Surgery UK (FPS UK).
