Dr Zahraa Albujasim

Dr Zahraa Albujasim is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist on the GMC Specialist Register for Obstetrics and Gynaecology (GMC No. 7522779) and holds a licence to practise in the UK. Dr Albujasim completed her Certificate of Completion of Training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2023 and became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) in 2019. Her earlier qualifications include a Clinical MD from the University of Buckingham and an MBChB from the University of Babylon. She has trained across high-volume UK hospital units, gaining broad experience in high-risk obstetrics, complex gynaecological surgery, outpatient hysteroscopy, operative laparoscopy and emergency women's health care. Dr Albujasim has specialist expertise in benign gynaecology, endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain and minimally invasive gynaecological surgery. She is a Locum Consultant with the Endometriosis Team at St Helier Hospital, where she manages women with complex endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain, and advanced laparoscopic surgery including surgery for deep infiltrating endometriosis. She continues to develop her expertise in early pregnancy and gynaecological ultrasound under the mentorship of Professor Davor Jurkovic. This supports her ability to assess and manage early pregnancy concerns and acute gynaecological presentations with a high level of clinical accuracy and care. Her clinical approach is patient-centred, evidence-based and collaborative. She is committed to ensuring that patients understand their diagnosis, treatment options, risks, benefits and expected outcomes before making decisions about their care. Dr Albujasim is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy. She maintains a strong commitment to continuing professional development through specialist courses, surgical training, quality improvement work, audit, teaching, clinical governance, publications and national and international presentations.
