Professor Mohamed Lassaad Gargouri

Professor Gargouri is one of Tunisia's most senior and widely respected plastic and aesthetic surgeons, with more than 35 years of clinical practice. A co-founder and former President of the Tunisian Society of Aesthetic Surgery, and a long-standing member of the Tunisian Society for Plastic, Reconstructive, Maxillofacial and Aesthetic Surgery, he has helped shape the standards of the specialty in North Africa and is a regular faculty member at international aesthetic surgery courses. He earned his doctorate in medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Paris XIII (Bobigny), 1976-1984, and passed the French Hospitals Residency Competitive Examination (Internat des Hôpitaux) in 1985. A four-year residency (1985-1989) in plastic, reconstructive, maxillofacial and aesthetic surgery within the French university hospital system followed, along with appointment as Chef de Clinique - Assistant at the University Hospital Centre (C.H.U.) of Toulouse. He became a Diplomate of the French College of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery in 1995 and holds a D.E.S. (Specialist Diploma) in Maxillofacial Surgery. Following his return to Tunisia, Professor Gargouri established a full-time plastic and aesthetic surgery practice and is today Head of the Plastic & Aesthetic Surgery Department at Clinique Montplaisir, Tunis - one of the country's leading private surgical hospitals, routinely accredited for international patients. Over almost four decades he has personally performed several thousand cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. Co-founder and Past President of the Société Tunisienne de Chirurgie Esthétique, faculty surgeon at the International School of Aesthetics, and a regular invited speaker and live-surgery instructor at national and international congresses, he has contributed to numerous scientific communications with a particular focus on facial rejuvenation, breast aesthetic surgery and post-bariatric body contouring.
